"Human Behaviour" is a song by the British singer & songwriter Emma Blackery. It is the sixth and final track from her fourth EP, Magnetised, and was released on May 26, 2017. It is 3:04 in length and was released under Emma's name.

Background Edit

In 2012, Emma had released this song for her debut EP of the same name, however, in 2017 she had realised that she wasn't quite ready to let go of the song yet. She re-recorded the track and placed it on her fourth EP. The song is about making mistakes and learning to accept yourself.

Lyrics Edit

It's sad, but it's true
We're all pretty strange
When our friends try to help out
We push them away

And it's all in our nature
It's just human behaviour

We don't want 'em to see
What we're like on our own
Because when people are hurt
They like to be left alone

But we're just healing over
We're getting stronger as we get older

And nobody wants to be perfect
'Cause people would stop being kind
We'd settle for being content
If it wasn't so hard to find

Because we're just healing over
We're getting stronger as we get older
And it's all in our nature
It's just Human Behaviour

And though we all make some bad choices
It's rare that we ever regret them
And when those bad choices are people
It's even harder for us to forget them

But you'll heal over in time
I promise you will be fine
It's all part of the ride
Don't let your life pass you by

'Cause we're just healing over
We're getting stronger as we get older
And it's all in our nature
It's just human behaviour

Trivia Edit

  • Emma has said in an interview that this song best wraps up the EP. She said that the main theme of the EP was about making mistakes, with the final track being reassuring, stating that "we all make mistakes".
